santa clara valley down into morgan hill. now the good news.wind in terms of the fog, that's going to help us out tomorrow to help mix in some drier air and break up the low clouds. but short term, the evening and the first half of the night, the fog will fill back in. but then as the drier air mixes down, notice back into the sunshine for places like san jose tomorrow. so first up, the wind speeds by 11:00 tonight. offshore winds increasing across those north bay hills. peak wind right around midday tomorrow as we could get gusts on the higher peaks, probably above 45 to 50mph. up to 20 to 30 mile per hour winds around the north bay valleys down into san francisco. then, as we head into tuesday, those wind speeds should come down for areas to the south. similar time frame here. wind speeds at their peak midday tomorrow, and then any wind advisories should be done by tuesday. but if you don't have the wind, you've got some chilly temperatures. frost advisories. next couple of mornings santa clara valley, tri-valley and interior north bay valley

gilroy and parts of morgan hill. still looking at maybe a few sprinkles. offshore, but closer to home, just clipping parts of the bay area. here's a look at highway 101 south of morgan hill and hollister had a few showers, but overall nothing more than a few hundredths. but as we take you further to the south, you'll notice upwards of a quarter of an inch santa barbara. another half inch to come through tomorrow in los angeles and even san diego. so certainly helping put out the fires. but with all of those toxic chemicals along the landscape and the mud, it is going to be hopefully not a horrible situation if we don't get the heavy rain in one spot, if it just is moderate and then kind of moves through. that would be the hope. low to mid 40s. right now back home temperatures are a little bit elevated in spots, but upper elevations from mount tam to mount diablo to mount hamilton right around 30 degrees. so even some mixed precip at times around mount hamilton. so morning breezy conditions in the upper elevations of the north bay. still with our wind advis

morgan hill continuing out there towards the east bay. but notice though, as we get closer to oakland and san francisco, the immediate bay staying just a touch more mild, and those 30s continuing up there for the north bay under that freeze warning later on today, you will feel much better of a situation. we're looking at temperatures sitting about ten degrees warmer there through santa rosa, parts of concord and san francisco, livermore, seeing those mid to upper 60s. and down here in san jose, we should see a high of about 68 under a lot of sunshine. so soak it up today and tomorrow because there are some cooler changes coming ahead for the weekend. we are stopping it here for saturday. seeing some of the models, painting some fresh sierra snow and the chance of some rain. but where that hits right now, it continues to be east and south of the bay area and further treking down into parts of southern california where they have just been bone dry, barely receiving any rain for this water season. we can see that change as we go on into sat

oakland hills with temperatures around the bay and into the santa clara valley mostly in the 40s, morgan hill 37 degrees the exception, and high temperatures tomorrow warm up to basically normal for this time of year, 63 for san jose and morgan hill with mostly low 60s east of the oakland hills, 50s around the bay and along the coast and also 50s in the north bay valleys until you get farther north, a mix of upper 50s and low 60s with the fog hanging on a little bit longer compared to other inland spots. as we look farther down the line, we're going to see air quality improving fractionally heading into tuesday next week, but over the weekend, the three-day weekend, moderate air quality across the board. the smoke from wood burning fireplaces and stoves trapped near ground level, but the winds will pick up, offshore winds not overly blustery around the bay area. that will help disperse some ground level pollution, but we need some rain, which we still don't have in the seven-day forecast, but the six to ten-day outlook, the signal towards drier than normal conditions has weakened a little bit

the warmest spots will hit 67 in morgan hill and san jose.will top out in the low to mid-60s. the exception to that as the onshore breeze returns, temperatures topping out only in the upper 50s along the coast, back closer to where you supposed to be this time of year. temperatures in the north bay back up into the low to mid-60s. let's talk about that rain chance. this is not going to be overly impressive. zoom out for the wider view here. turn futurecast on from 10:00 on saturday through 4:00 a.m. on sunday. and you see some scattered showers. the energy associated with the storm system is going to be enough to squeeze what meager amounts of moisture there are in the atmosphere overhead over our heads in the form of a little bit of rain. not much. your chances of adding up anything more than a couple of sprinkles are about one in three. again, we'll take what we can get. the other factor of the atmosphere getting squeezed is we get some gusty winds. especially in the north bay, wind advisory in effect at 10:00 tomorrow evening for the north

low 40s for san jose, but the upper 30s tomorrow morning around morgan hill. you'll be one of the warm spots tomorrow afternoon, temperatures 3 to 8 degrees above normal, 68 degrees for the warm spots in san jose and morgan hill while most of us top out in the low to mid-60s. that's about 3 to 5 degrees above normal. some of the cool spots are right along the coast topping out just short of 60 degrees in bodega bay, otherwise right around 60 degrees along the coast. late tomorrow the marine influence will start to make a return. we are going to see the return of some fog as we head through the next couple nights and mornings. that sends us back into a normal temperature pattern going into the weekend. what we do need is either stronger winds to stir the atmosphere around and get rid of that haze or a rain chance to head our way, neither of which is likely to develop as we head through the weekend. air quality will likely be moderate, could be a lot worse, but whenever you get in a very stagnant weather pattern, there's the potential for a couple spots to dip i

that's going to put us at 65 in morgan hill, 64 in concord, low 60s napa to santa rosa, and a chillier in san francisco with 59. we'll stay with similar weather like this all the way through sunday's forecast. i don't really see any big changes that way, but as we head into next monday, still looks like we get into this windy weather set up for california. high pressure near the pacific, low pressure developing in southern california that would help to pull this wind across the state, where gusts could be up to about 50mph. so in southern california, for lower elevations, it's 15 to about 30. but look at the mountains here in that pink to magenta color. that's gusts. that would be up to about 50. so the more widespread wind right now looks to go to southern california. we would see the chance of some wind, but it doesn't look super strong ten to about 25mph for most of us. although napa 31 mountains in the north bay could get 20 to maybe a few gusts there up to about 4045. so we're going to continue to watch that closely. and as far as rain chances go, we'll stay dry through the 24th.

prison after being convicted of raping a woman who was interviewing for a babysitting job at his morgan hillnia appellate court determined that stubblefield did not get a fair trial, and prosecutors violated the 2020 racial justice act by making him making racially biased comments about him being black. now, the woman claims that stubblefield used a gun, but police never searched the house for that gun. prosecutors say the home wasn't searched, in part because stubblefield was a famous, quote, black man on trial during the george floyd protests. here was stubblefield attorney last week after the court overturned his client's conviction. was it long overdue? it was. are we thankful? yes. or did we expect it? we absolutely expected this case to be overturned. the court did not say mr. stubblefield was innocent, only that he did not get a fair trial due to the violation of the racial justice act. stubblefield's attorneys say they are also going to try to get the case against their client completely dismissed. again, the hearing to release stubblefield takes place here at the hall of justice beh
