jesse gary joins us live now again from morgantown. jesse, you've been monitoring conditions outside and from storm force 10. >> that's right, chris. we are still outside and it is plenty cold. matter of fact we'll check the temperature right now to give you an idea of how cold it is. we checked earlier in and the low 20s and let me check real quick using my smartphone. wrong app. so cold my fingers don't work. okay now, we're at 18 degrees. 18 degrees here in morgantown berks county and one woman who headed out to work this morning said it feels like ten. it's been so long that it's been this cold that it kind of goes right through you and also talk to one of the people who is responsible for removing the snow once it starts to fall. we think in the next couple hours. that's what bill was forecasting. he says it depends on how heavy it could be. could be a big job or a light job. >> i mean it may be a light enough snow that i could use a leaf blower instead of shoveling. boy, we just have to see what comes. that's all. >> and that sno

in morgantown burkes count ae ss ss berks county. you're measuring conditions. >> we started outside for this particular hit and we're in morgantown and i want to show you the conditions first. i'm standing on a sheet of ice that is cracking so it's not too hard, but it is a nice sheet of ice right on the side of the road. this is some of the conditions that you'll find out here. i just checked in with pednndot and they had crews out since yesterday and the suputting down a salt brine mixture to pretreat the roads to prevent the snow when it starts falling from sticking to the roadways and then starting at 5:00 today, more than 300 pieces of equipment are going to be out both state and contractors out making sure they're calling it a spreading event. they'll put down that granular salt to try to keep the roadways wet and keep the snow from freezing. it is very cold. you saw a car zoom on by. but bear this in mind it is very cold out and patches of ice on the sides of the road where water has collected. another update for you out here

this is morgantown and you can see there is snow across the roadways. they have been out putting down the brine here in the suburbs of philadelphia. but, still, the snow is kind of blowing across the roadways. so, you want to make sure you're careful. particularly when you start from a standing stop. i've noticed a lot of car wheels spinning because of that. so, show caution when you're headed out. when you first get out this morning, you have to clear off your car, at least a little bit. use your hand or a brush and it should come off pretty easily. those are conditions right now here in berks county. snow falling and the further west you head the heavier the snow is coming down. we'll have an update for you on the roads in delaware and new jersey coming up before the end of the broadcast. live in morgantown berks county. >>> those of you flying out offy international this morning or expect somebody to come in. we have new information. we just checked and flights are still landing and taking off at philly international airport this morning. but there a

the snow caused problems on the turnpike in morgantown berks county. the driver of this car swerved to avoid a vehicle that was stopped, slid into the path of an 18 wheeler. there are no injuries reported there. no serious injuriesyies but drivers are dealing with a backup. police blocked off two miles in cherry hill because of another accident there. we are trying to find out if anyone involved in that accident was hurt. we checked around and most counties in our area say that they are seeing a routine number of traffic problems. chester county says things are busy there with lots of fender benders. philadelphia county also says it is seeing more accidents than usual. gloucester county it is seeing more accidents there as well. let's get a check on traffic. >> good morning to you. we have a couple of things going on right now. let's start with the overview with the radar. you can see we have snow across the area the darker blue that's the heavier bands of snow. heading to middle township right now, you can see the snow falling in the live picture. thi
