tara moriarty is joining us live from one of those spots. tara, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. we're on pearson street. this is where a woman said a man on a bicycle sexually assaulted her. since then two more incidents happened. the first happened here near railroad square last july. and then in february a woman was attacked on a trail at spring lake. the the most recent case took place monday afternoon shortly after 2:30 when a woman was assaulted on a walking trail along round barn boulevard. we want to show you a sketch of the man who the victims describe as white in his 30s, tall, around 6 feet with characteristics suggesting substance abuse or mental disability. police say in two of the cases the suspect appears to have a flat or smashed in face with wide set eyes similar to someone with down syndrome. the stranger also appeared stunned when the woman tried to fend him off. detectives say there was substantial physical contact in each case. enough to qualify it as rape. there is a $2500 reward being offered in this case. leav

a judge threw out paul moriarty's lawsuit claiming that washington township police failed to adequately train and supervise its employees. the assemblyman was arrested in 2012 on a drunk driving charge. the charge was later dropped after this police dash cam video was released. officer joseph ventura was indicted for making a bogus arrest. he was acquitted earlier this year. moriarty's lawyer says despite the judge's ruling his client can still seek damages against the officer. >>> the trial will continue this week for six former philadelphia narcotics officers accused of kidnapping extortion, and drug dealing. investigators say the officers used their positions to intimate, beat and rob drug dealers. but in opening statements last week defense attorneys argue that there is no evidence to back up those claims. the corruption trial is expected to take months. if convicted, the suspects could face life in prison. the city in the meantime is facing dozens of civil lawsuits, connected to this case and could end up paying millions of dollars in settlements. >>> students at one philadelphia c

ktvu fox reporter tara moriarty is in the upper rock bridge neighborhood. tons of cement ended up in a stream that leads to lake mirra. >> when it flood over the stream bed, it killed most of everything underneath it. this project was a pipeline replacement project, that they believe somebody left a valve open on that pipe, which led to the spill. east bay says one of its contractors was working above mountain view cement tarry when they accidentally pumped 120 cubic yards of wet concrete into the glenn echo creek. it is the main creek emptying into lake merritt. >> we take our environmental responsibilities very seriously. this was a mistake that happened that can't ever happen again. and we'll be investigating to what led to that valve being open, because that was not supposed to have happened. happened. >> reporter: tara was in the he could hills, cover this. you can see the damage. just a huge cement spill. they're going to be cleaning it up this morning. we'll check in with tara in just a bit. >>> the shooting death of a young musician in downtown oakl

erin moriarty of "48 hours" is following the case for us.. >> reporter: well, scott today was just supposed to be an ordinary preliminary hearing but when durst's attorneys came in and asked for those state charges to be dropped, it became an all-out legal battle. robert durst's arrest last month at a hotel in new orleans is to prosecutors cut and dried. f.b.i. agents suspecting that durst was about to leave the country made their move first but that's not how defense attorney dick deguerin sees it. >> it was illegal. it was not proper. they approached bob in the lobby of the marriott hotel and he was under arrest from that point on. >> reporter: the defense describes this timeline-- on march 14, at 3:00 in the afternoon, the f.b.i. ditained durst. at 6:00 p.m. agents began to search his room. a .38-caliber gun and a coat hanging in his closet and marijuana in his luggage was seized. yet, it was only around 2:00 the next morning that authorities applied for a search warrant for the hotel room. not only that, the defense accused state police

i'm tara moriarty, back to you. >> can you imagine what a challenge that would be? thank you. >>> it's a mystery on a beach in pacifica. a dead whale almost 50 feet long washed up there yesterday. it is still on that beach this morning near morey point. alex savidge is there in pacific qau to -- in pacifica to tell us all of the questions about the dead whale. >> reporter: good morning. that whale is sitting at the south end of shark park beach here in pacifica. i can assure you that getting to where it is no easy task. my photographer and i had to hike about three quarters of a mile down a dirt trail to get a closer look at it. let me show you the video. here's what we saw. the video is dark. you can probably make out the decomposing carcass of a nearly 50-foot long sperm whale which washed ashore sometime yesterday. there was no foul odor in the air near the whale but you could see blood in the water nearby. later on today, researchers from the marine mammal center in sausalito will be out here to come and take a closer look at the whale and they will be performin

tara moriarty, back to you. >> so unfortunate. what a mess.ut airport security in a new report and in particular, san francisco international airplane. now, behind mean, you are look the at a live picture we're out at sfo, the study by the associated press says sfo had more security breaches than any other major airport in the country. but in just two hours from now, sfo officials will be holding a news conference, they will tell us all about the latest security upgrades. the airport has beefed up perimeter security to keep intruders out. you may remember last month, a homeless woman was arrested on charges she walked out onto the runway. now, officials appear to be defensive after an analysis found between january of 2004 and january of this year there were 37 breaches at sfo, the most of any airport. philadelphia was number two with 25. l.a.x. had 24. mineta san jose rounded out the top five with 18 breaches. some of the passengers at sfo this morning told us they are alarmed by these findings. >> security is a big deal. i think that right n
