chp arrested 29-year-old daniel morris early this morning. kpix 5's allen martin is in the newsroom with the update provided by officers this afternoon. >> reporter: i see will, alameda county sheriff's deputies, the chp and even the u.s. marshals service say they tracked down daniel morris, who is from castro valley, to hotel on foothill boulevard in that town. it was about 1:00 this morning. police say morris was driving a stolen car when he ran off the road on the morning of march 7. he is accused of slamming into two young brothers as they walked on meadowview drive. an 8-year-old boy had minor injuries. but a 6-year-old brother was severely hurt. investigators later confirmed the car that hit the boys was one of five vehicles stolen from a livermore ford dealership. surveillance video from that auto dealer captured the theft. chp declined to release specifics about the boy's current condition. but does say the boy's family wanted to express their thanks for the public's help with an arrest in the case. >> they are very appreciative of everybody, law enforceme
