dr rachelle morrissey. doctor good to see you. thank you for the time. do you think you are seeing this sharp increase in the number of sick cats and kittens? we're not sure it's just been unusual that we've had several infections happening at the same time. you know, we had this kitten here. howard had ringworm, which is a contagious fungal infection that causes harry watson kitties that we see fairly commonly. but in addition to that, we've got him. the patina coronavirus, the number of viruses one on top of each other. we aren't sure for tax, perhaps with the rain. maybe more of the cats were indoors or closer together, and that led to more spread, since a lot of these are airborne or spread with close contact was wondering if that might have been a factor. so what steps are you taking to try to prevent the spread? yes so this is definitely a lot of these diseases are preventable by vaccines like policy virus and camera kapini, a part of the standard fdr cp vaccines. we really recommend people even if your cats inside a lot of this can be transmitted.

thanks to people on the front lines, like rebecca morrissey. following in her father's footsteps, she's a second generation psychiatric nurse at api. since 2016 she's worked in the adult psychiatric unit and recently in hospital education. she's seen the darkest days and also the incredible turn-around for the past four years. for her dedicated work and work of others, they're providing the services that alaskans have for others. would you stand for the work on behalf of your colleagues and the work at api. [applause] >> thank you again, rebecca, for all you do for the people of alaska. the turnout at api is an example of what is possible. it proves it can fix broken systems rather than just accept the status quo, this is why i'm optimistic. this is why i believe we can get things done this year. to fulfill our destiny as a state, one challenge we must overcome is the way we're perceived by some outside interest. and stereo typed as the land of fish and igloos, freezing temperatures and bears, a place where everyone wants to visit and a good pl

the the hessians and native americans, they bring their wives as well or in morrissey. if so, what were the interactions with either british or american and with, you know, say with the allies on the american side or the british side? they were there. yeah. if you had native americans who would bring their entire families of their communities with them into the camps, they did this to the american forces. they certainly did it with the british forces. you see a lot of this after, the clinton sullivan campaign in the you know, the whole mohawk area when they up north and became refugees, encamped around british garrisons to be cared for or at least to get some supplies from the british troops that they helped. this includes some the native american allies who went to the americans is they came singly. one warrior, often you would have multiple warriors and they could come with their entire families, with expectations that the families would be for at the same time. so there was a more of a community orientation for many of them. yeah. and to the point about, the hessians
