as a developer and morse took off from concord yesterday morning and when he didn't arrive at reid hillview airport in sacramento his family reported him missing and about 24 hours later civil air patrol pilots located it near castro valley and they located it this morning and there are not any obvious indications as to what caused the plane to crash. the faa and the ntsb will be investigating. the alameda county sheriff's office helped in the search and say weather and darkness hindered their efforts of finding the plane last night. >> it did start a very small fire and a couple of location but because the grass was damp it did not go any further. had that fire continued, obviously, we would have had reports of a fire and been able to find the plane a lot quicker. >> reporter: the family tells me he was active in the lafayette community known as the mayor of the block for always taking care of people and the head of the boy scout troop when they were young and the family loved to go skiing. ntsb investigations are often lengthy and it is unclear when we'll know exactly what caused the crash. live in castro valley katie utas. >> more developing news now. a military pl
