there two clear ways to get to moscone center but people have to walk a long distance around.me vehicles able to get through and that is the significance of the police behind me. you want to make sure that those vehicles don't have to come up against any of the protesters. look at this video and it gives you a sense of how difficult and at times tense this can get. we saw just one individual trying to get through, walking south on fifth past mission and had multiple police officers around them to try to help them get through. at one point, it got a little physical, as someone who was trying to block them got shoved by a police officer. we have seen a version of that multiple times, not as physical but the idea that protesters really want to prevent someone from getting through this intersection and police officers or private security, having to be there escort and help them get through. this one particular part of the city. reed. >> shawn, great reporting today. thank you for being there were history is literally being written and so many perspectives shouted at the direction

moscone center, where apec is being held, is like a fortress in the city. all of the red you see on your screen, those are road closures. you're going to want to avoid this area . one lane along the embarcadero near the exploratorium has also already been shut down over the weekend. the green you're seeing on your screen is open to local traffic only, but no rideshares or food delivery will be able to get through something for every commuter to keep in mind starting tomorrow at 5 a.m, the bay bridge will be down one lane in both the eastbound and westbound directions. they will not reopen until 9:00 friday night, then starting on wednesday, some of the off ramps will close as well. that's fifth street and fourth street. through that same timeframe. as for muni, sfmta says the bulk of travel and transit impacts will be starting today and lasting all the way through sunday. all of the red dots on your screen are impacts to muni around moscone center, a few too many to mention on air. so you're going to want to check their schedules online before heading out t
