we do expect it to pick up just in time for mother nature to clear her throat and really come down on us so as you can clearly see all that water that's kicking up right now from the back tires of the car. take it easy out there. 2 good things at least i can pass along one it's not windy. so you don't have to be battered around as far as the winds are concerned and it's not cold because of the rainfall so it's comfortable as far as the temperatures as far as i'm concerned but not comfortable if you're driving this morning, take it easy. hydroplaning we'll be your biggest issue fortunately i did see a couple of chp cars and you usually out one obviously the look 4 accidents to just to be a deterrent just to show presence to remind people today's a day that you don't even want to go the speed limit. i was going about 55 miles per hour or so far below the speed limit. but i'm here to tell you i made it alive and hopefully people will make it to wherever you need to go alive safe and sound it's not looking good this morning right now especially with the rain picking up in intensity guys,

from last night and winds significant so it's not the easiest of commutes into work as far as mother nature goes anyways. you look outside right now former mount tam cam shows us some overall pretty clear conditions looking down towards the bay bridge in san francisco itself just slow it down a bit we've got wet spots on roadways out there and still a couple lingering sprinkles across the region to although for the most part rainfall has now exited the picture you do have some flurries out there across some of our east bay mountains and hills in what i'm looking at especially as 5.80 over the altamonte right there where we have seen some slick spots once you head east of livermore on over those upper elevations over towards tracy's so watch your travel on 5.80 this morning pulling out across the region. we have chain controls in effect up in the sierra nevada multiple inches of snowfall on many of our routes traversing the sierra last night even the grapevine getting in the mix of some slick conditions this morning. so if you're heading out of the bay that's what you'll be facing especially
