paul, i kind of like the way mother nature has been giving us rain, some rain, a break, some rain, areak. last year it was river after river. >> it didn't kick in till late december. we had a couple rain events earlier in the season, not so much this season, but we're just getting started. it will be on the way eventually deeper into december and january and february does seem likely we'll get heavier rain heading our way, but not short term. the heaviest rain is aimed towards the pacific northwest around the bay area. we'll have fog to begin the day tomorrow, but otherwise we're talking about a return to normal temperatures, above normal, in fact, by tomorrow afternoon. the rain returns to the forecast wednesday as the storm system sending all the rain towards the pacific northwest tonight, tomorrow and tomorrow night gives a little kick, but the rain won't be nearly as heavy as compared to up north. let's look at futurecast. we'll start with the fog tomorrow morning. the rain stays way up to our north throughout the day tomorrow into tomorrow night. they're concerned about flooding

mother nature sometimes alters those plans, cinthia. how are things looking? >> i need people to slow down on the roadways a little bit. the dense fog is lingering in some spots of the bay area. we'll check our cameras. look at the san mateo bridge. it is socked in in that dense fog, so just south of sfo and even towards the east bay, this camera from oakland showing us a slow drive over 880 right now. there are patches around the bay reducing visibility, san francisco down to less than a mile as well as in the north bay, and creeping on through parts of the delta. so, just take it slow. you will get there, i promise. then eventually we'll see the afternoon getting a lot more sunshine here throughout the bay area. we'll stay dry and see some of that sunshine continue with us for the holiday weekend. bundle up for the mornings. we'll start off in the low 30s and 40s. maybe asking santa for new rain gear. looking at the long-range forecast, we'll talk about the next storm system for the final days of december, possibly into early january. >>> it's not just the s
