forensic dna testing has led to new charges in connection to crimes in mountain view, palo alto and now san ramon. new at 730. ktvu crime reporter henry lee is live in the newsroom. henry, what do we know about this new case in san ramon? >> well, greg, this is a case that continues to have twists and turns. greg, i know you were at the scene in orange county when denise huskins turned up at her father's house, which fueled suspicions. she made it all up. now, the real kidnaper has been charged with even more crimes. just a week ago, matthew mueller stood shackled in a san jose courtroom charged with committing two home invasions a month apart in mountain view and palo alto back in 2009. now, contra costa county prosecutors say they've charged mueller with kidnaping three victims for ransom near san ramon in 2015. they say he managed to get tens of thousands of dollars from them in exchange for their release. the victims had kept quiet all these years for fear of retribution. this latest case in contra costa county happened a month after mueller drugged and kidnaped denise huskins in va

in the south bay, a fire breaks out in a garage overnight in mountain view. it happened just before 3.30, this morning at a homeowner. bernstein, lane and crews say the family of 5 was able to get out of the house on their own. firefighters say they cut open the walls and the roof of the garage to make sure that all the flames are out. no one was hurt. and crews say that the family was put in temporary housing because of gas and electric that were disconnected. the fire left about $200,000 in damages. it's unclear what caused it. and the east bay crews put out an rv on fire in newark. this happened monday on don barden street. as you can see, the rv was engulfed in flames. no one was hurt and there's no word yet on what started that fire. happening now. it's going to cost you $8 across all bay area. bridges except for the golden gate. voters approved this move back in 2018, there have been 3 waves of toll increases since then last month, officials approved a plan to raise the toll $0.50 every year for the next 5 years. that means by 2030, it could cost you $1
