everybody will change from rain to snow later today and basically in the highest mountaintops but downf here, skies begin to clear. let me take you live to washington, d.c. clouds and rain showers off and on around the region. today, clearing skies. temperatures back into the mid-60s. not a bad one. decent conditions for the next day or so. but that rain will hang around for the morning for new york city. here's what it looks like for the winter storm warnings. all the areas shaded in red. 6 to 12 inches of. highest elevations and that's also going to slide into vermont and new hampshire and parts of maine, too. looks like around central vermont three to five inches of snow above 1,000 feet in elevation. highest elevations, you get the most. going to be there for most of the day. you zoom towards this area and this is where the heaviest rain is going to be found breaking up as it gets towards illinois and indiana and picking up again around areas like kentucky and stretching down to tennessee. rain also possibility for atlanta. out west, another big storm, we'll get to that coming up i
