oakland airport, mountainview, and san jose set a new record today. in fact at san jose going back to 1925. take a look at all the hot temperatures here in the bay area. that one temperature that really stands out. santa rosa 108 degrees this afternoon. that's major heat there. antioch 105. but at least the coast not nearly as warm in the bay and not nearly as warm as well. duo have a cooling trend to talk about though in your five- day forecast. we'll have more on that in just a few minutes. >>> we want to mention that red flag warning expired a short time ago. but they are still concerned there had been five red flag warnings in the east bay hills since the start of fire season. ktvu leigh martinez explains extra patrols were out checking for potential hazards that could spark fires in the hills. >> reporter: access is everything when it comes to spenting fires. fire -- when it comes to preventing fires and saving livesment oakland firefighters took out the gator to first rescue an injured rider on the hill. but it's also useful in scouting potentia
