mountainview 52, oakland 57. i do have good news on the tail end of those clouds. we have a bit of a marine layer going. this is going to help keep our temperatures nice and cool. a lot of that cloud cover is expected to stick around through mid-morning and our temperatures will be sticking to the 70s for today. no 80s and no 90s. >> many people woke up to quite a mess in the east bay this morning. not one but two water main breaks had neighbors scrambling to keep their homes from being damaged. the first one happened in the 1700 block of newel avenue and walnut creek. two to three inches turned the streets into small rivers and lakes. the flooding on newel avenue is starting to cause a sinkhole as well the second water main break happened on nearby walnut avenue. this just west of the city's downtown area. the immediate areas around the streets are closed as crews and neighbors continue to clean up the damage. >> you're looking at a backup at san jose international that had people exhausted and angry. some people say they waited four hours to get through customs l

this morning by the national transportation safety board said the tesla model s that crashed in mountainview on march 23rd sped up seconds before crashing. 38-year-old walter flang was killed in that crash. the car was using its semi- autonomous driving system, going 71 miles per hour when it slammed into a highway barrier. he had his hands on the steering wheel for 34 seconds before the last minute before the impact. he was using tesla's self driving system continuously for almost 19 minutes before the crash. the preliminary report did not conclude anything about the cause of the crash. >>> well, today at 5:00 p.m. it is the deadline for motorized scooter companies that want to do business in san francisco for them to apply for a permit. last month the city ordered those companies to pull all of their scooters off the streets and start all over again with a new permit process. the sfmta says at least four companies have already submitted applications. at least 1,800 complaints have been received about scooters blocking sidewalks and walkways making it dangerous for pedestrians. the deadline
