a city still in mourning after a weekend of violence. a police spokesman estimated from 30,000 people turned out around denmark last night to commemorate the victims of last weekend's attacks. many held torches and candles in a gathering near the cafe where the first attack took place. dutch royalty, elected officials and the country's prime minister were among those mourning. shoot thor who carried out the attack is believed to be this man, omar abdel hamid al hussein hussein. he was released from prison just two weeks ago, it's being reported. he was reportedly arrested for a knife attack on a train passenger 15 months ago. in sources close to the investigation are telling the associated press he may have been radicalized while he was in prison. and as new details emerge about the suspected shooter, we're also learning more about the attack itself. here's amateur audio recording the moment he opened fire on saturday's free speech seminar. >> and the turning point is -- [ unshots ] [ gunshots ] zblun believable. eyewitnesses say he shou

this is a nation that feels -- this is a nation that is mourning. this is a man that was considered a national hero by many. we're now hearing from our team that was out at this hall where the family of moaz al kasasbeh has been gathering for the past week or so. they say that hundreds of people have showed up tonight and more are showing up to show their solidarity with their family. there's a mood of anger and disgust. people are saying things like, this is how they killed a fellow muslim. this is really a shock for many here. there had been some hope that maybe moaz al kasasbeh would be returning home. a lot of pressure here had been on the jordanian government to try and secure his release. but, again, we do not know what happened with those indirect negotiations that had been taking place between the jordanian government and isis and what demands they may have had for the release of al kasasbeh. we're hearing from the military this evening and the government saying they are going to retaliate and they are going to respond. no indication here th

this morning thousands of people are mourning the loss of an east bay rapper known as the jacka. alex savidge has more on the growing search for the person that killed them. >> reporter: oakland police have not talked about what the motive may have been for this killing. shooting was on 94th avenue. right off of mccarthur. where you can see the memorial here on the sidewalk to honor a well known rapper who friends say always stayed humble. the jacka was a well known bay area rapper that got their first start. their albums made it on to billboard hip hop charts and launched a solo career in 2001. his real name was dominic newton. he was originally from pittsburg in the east bay. the shooting happened just after 8:00 last night. this area was blocked off with crime scene tape. he rushed outside when he heard gunfire. >> he is one of the most humble people i have ever met in my life. he gives you the shirt off his back and shoes off your feet. >> reporter: on social media they are all paying tribute using the #ripjacka. there is a $20000 reward on the table for any information. frie
