sheldon: and wisconsin law enforcement in mourning tonight. for a sheriff's deputy shot and killed in the line of duty. we're getting more details tonight about how a routine traffic stop took a very tragic turn. adrienne: it happened in ladysmith, just north of eau claire. as the shooter sits in jail, the sheriff's office mourns one of their own. >> his name was deputy dan glaze, a seven-year veteran in a half here in rusk county. adrienne: deputy glaze was responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle just north of eau claire saturday night. the deputy radioed he found the vehicle and that's the last the sheriff's office heard from the 33-year-old. when back up arrived, they found the deputy dead. investigators with several agencies spent the night trying to track down the shooter, 43-year-old doug nitek. they caught up to him at his home. he eventually surrendered but not before shooting once at law enforcement. no one was hurt. according to court documents nitek's been in jail several times for a range of crimes. he was even under what's
