it left lisbon, went to mozambique, africa, picked up captive africans on its way to brazil to sell them as enslaved africans. the ship crashed off the coast of south africa. we are fortunate to have organized with george washington university, the university of cape town, and partners in mozambique as we were able to identify the slave ship wreck on the ocean floor off the coast of south africa. one of the key markers to identify this as a slave ship wreck is some of the research there were 1400 ballast stones on the ship. to offset the human weight. we are excited to feature those in the middle space in middle passage. we do not have images in this space. we chose to allow the first-person voice to carry the space. we wanted those who went through the experience to speak for themselves. the human story extends to everybody. you will hear voices of those who were enslaved but you also hear voices of crew members. you hear voices of slaves ship surgeons. the horrors of the experience but also understand there is an important understanding of the resistance, resilience, and the survival.

but if there's 44 million that fit that beal, we're mozambique. we are america here. we have serious issues that go beyond this budget. >> and we need to rethink the parameters. it's immoral to keep raising taxes. it's immoral to borrow money and put burden on future generations. that's what's immoral here. you're essentially hamstringing millions and millions of americans and continuing cycles of poverty. as you said, the bill is unsustainable. it will come at some point and we cannot borrow our way out of this. we cannot continue with this deficit spending and expect that we're going to have any gdp growth. that is incredibly problematic. >> neil: a mazing. kennedy, thanks very much. the white house is proposing this work program like snap and some of the others like a work the welfare, welfare to work, clinton working with gingrich in the 90s. when i look at this, jim, it wasn't a crazy that we should start means testing some benefits programs and give people the decency and opportunity to work before they got something out there. if they're totally incapable of th
