mr ginsberg and supervisor fewer show their support and also evidently had a good time. connecting with sarah madeleine and tamra appertain in policy and public affairs really helped us break through to the next level of publicity at exposure. we did have a featured place in the september 12th e. news and were mentioned again and yesterday's edition. we had coverage from the chronicle and others. we also did a 30 minute podcast with outside lands.org and the western neighborhoods project. as was mentioned, the lake was built around 1903, specifically for model yacht racing. it is one of the final facilities of its kind in the u.s. and indeed probably in the world. taking care of the needs of model boaters helps expect -- improve the experience for everyone who uses and enjoys the lake. our partnership with park staff is working well. sometimes it is a little hard to get the attention of staff and there are some projects that still need to be done, such as repairing rest pavement and investigating areas where the side of spreckels lake seems to be collapsing. with the clu

[laughter] >> but with the incredible partnership and help of private and public partners. and mohammed's incredible leadership. it does take a village, as mohammed noted. he also noted that we have 131,000 trees in our park land in san francisco on 4,000 acres of parkland. these 131,000 trees were planted over 150 years in the very birth of this city's park system. interesting that we have about ten trees or so that surround the spots. this used to be a parking lot 30 years ago. and now admittedly, it is a fixer upper, but if you come back because we break ground on a beautiful renovation to the site in january with mohammed's partnership and we hope to cut a ribbon on a beautiful new space with even more trees here in july of 2019.
