mr. larry korb. good to see you, sir. >> good to be with you. trish: i kind of like that definition he gave, how would you label putin, is he a friend or a foe, he said he competitor. >> he is a competitor. it is not the cold war but the fact of the matter is, we have a lot of places where our interests are not the same. for example, seizing crimea for example. going into georgia. threatening the baltics which are part of nato. talking about building new nuclear missiles. so we have a lot of areas that he needs to talk to him about but what i worry about is that he will give putin something, for example, say, well, i'm going to cancel some of the military exercises in nato or maybe take some troops out of europe because -- trish: they're not paying for it? >> yeah. i mean that is what i do worry about. he is half right when he says nato should spend more. this is something both the bush administration, the obama administration said but they did it with their secretaries of defense but because they spend more doesn't mean we need to spend less. t
