chiu president david chiu: chiu thank you mr. mayor. let's go to supervisor supervisor mark farrell: mr. mayor, g gnra is a recreation area. as the recreational use for decades has been dog walking. thousands of city of san francisco has long walked their dogs for dog walking. they are imposing restrictions that would severely limit san franciscans ability to utilize ggnra and result in a shift from many dogs from the federal urban recreation areas to already over crowded city parks. board of supervisors recently unanimously passed the resolution that i authored to oppose this proposal by the national parks service. congresswoman jackie spears has been very supportive in the opposition to the park services plan and our federal representative democratic leader, nancy pelosi recently sent a letter to the park service asking the park service to extend the public comment period which it subsequently did and also take into account the recreational needs of dog walker's and dog owners at the g gnra. mr. mayor, do you agree that the ggnra plan

. >> mr. mayor, do you have an idea of the numbers in term of the need here, what the number of homeless people looks like next to the number of beds available? >> we have enough beds to accommodate everybody. there could be more, of course, in the event, for example, if we had a power outage and people had to leave their homes. we will have enough space to accommodate everybody, but on a given night we have literally hundreds of people who are individuals who go to the shelters. we have probably 4 or 500 families, maybe a little bit more who need shelter, but on a night like tonight those numbers will probably swell because some people who don't come in off the streets will certainly have to come in on a night like tonight. >> of course, there are the families who face some sort of financial difficulty and may not have heat in a home they do have. any sense of those numbers and have you heard from folks saying where can i go, mr. mayor? >> we haven't heard from very many people who have a problem w

. >> what we also learned last week, mr. mayorhat while the attack was going on, we learned that the military people that were meeting with the president knew it was a terrorist attack while it was happening. so, you know, that whole narrative was one big lie that it was youtube related, right? >> yes, the questions here have never been answered and they're dramatic. it was about six months of questions. specific acts of terrorism against the mission. the british move out, nothing done. a terrorist act clearly starts that day, and no reaction on the part of the secretary of the president the way he would react if he were really acknowledging that a terrorist attack was going on. and inexplicable to me, we don't try to end our forces there, and the explanation is that there wasn't enough time. how would you know when the incident is go on. you don't know if it will be four hours or 24 hours or 50 hours. there are so many unanswered questions. no press conference, no answering questions, complete cover up, and nobody has been held a
