"you dont go shooting people with a 9 mm weapon unless you have the intent to kill, pete polson had the intent . s no reason. he doesnt know. he had a mental disability and was in a state of drug intoxication. there was intent" jack: the jury only had 20 minutes to deliberate today. so it'll return on monday morning. local 5 will be there as the verdict comes down. jack: a newton couple is facing charges connected to a sex assault of a juvenile in august. the jasper county sheriff's office said the incident happened at a home on highway f-48 in newton. police say michelle wortman and berlou barnard were watching a young girl in their home at the time. the girl's age has not been released. the report says the girl's mother knew barnard was a registered sex offender. the girl claims that he assaulted her and in a few cases her mother walked in and stopped him.
