mr. carter, for five minutes. mr. carter: mr. speaker, i rise today with a heavy heart to remember and honor donald scott overton of savannah, georgia, who passed away on april 14 at the age of 89. scott served our country in the u.s. army and trained to be a pilot towards the end of the korean war, giving him a love for flying that he would have for the rest of his life. he became an accomplished glider pilot and enjoyed building planes from a kit in his garage. everyone who knew scott recognized his giving heart and love for adventure. with his wife and friend, scott cruised to all the constituents except africa. professionally, scott worked tirelessly as president of the arthur d. crane development company, and on numerous small water companies. i'm thankful for the immense impact that scott had on our community and i know his legacy will remain. my thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who knew him during this most difficult time. mr. speaker, i rise today to recognize and honor georgia representative nic

mr. carter: mr. speaker, i rise today to remember and honor paul grassy of savannah, georgia, who passed away on april 11 at the age of 97. following the attack on pearl harbor, paul joined the u.s. air force and was assigned as a pilot in the eighth air force. he flew more than a dozen combat missions as a b-24 pilot. paul's most treasured purpose because discovering when he became involved with the building, growth, and development of the national museum of the mighty eighth air force in georgia. he had a passion for sharing his stories about the courage and the sacrifice of the people he served with. he loved to thing. he led us often in patriotic songs. in january of 2020, paul was awarded the french legion of honor for his service and role in helping to free france from nazi occupation during world war ii. i'm thankful for the immeps impact that paul had on our community and i know his legacy will remain and we will all miss him very much. my thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, an
