mr. chabot, for their leadership on this issue. now i'd like to yield one minute to the gentleman from indiana, mr. bucshon, for his statement and thank him for his leadership on this issue as well. the speaker pro tempore: the gentleman from indiana is recognized for one minute. mr. bucshon: thank you. i rise in strong support of h.r. 3086, the permanent internet tax freedom act. i believe that this permanent extension is necessary to ensure the internet remains accessible for all americans. the internet economy is growing and changing every day, and this pro-growth legislation will support the vibrant online marketplace of goods and ideas by preventing state and local tax policies from creating barriers to access. americans use the internet every day to communicate, to work, and to get an education. they shouldn't have to pay an unnecessary, unfair tax to do so. i thank chairman goodlatte for his work on this important bipartisan bill. i urge all my colleagues to vote yes. i yield back the balance of my time. the speaker pro tempo

mr. chabot. >> thank you, mr. chairman. i would first like to ask unanimous consent to insert into the hearing record house current resolution 16 which is the local radio freedom act which states in part, that quote, congress should not impose any new performance fee, tax, royalty or other charge relating to the public performance of sound recordings on local radio station for broadcasting, sound recordings over the air. local radio stations provide promotion of the music they play at mo cost to the listener. this concurrent resolution has 225 bipartisan cosponsors including myself which is more than a majority in the house. and i think it is important to at least mention, i know we've had some kind of disparaging remarks about the recording industry from some of our panel members and i certainly understand that but i thought that should be at least part of the record. i would also, just a couple comments before i get to a question. mr. huppe -- >> without objection those documents are entered into the record. >> thank you.
