no one would argue that mr chavez was a controversial leader. but a lot of folks would say at least he helped poverty between 2002 and 2012. now, what you have are people that are struggling to have basic rights. i mean the kids that started the protest. they started protesting because of crime. and because of state institutions weren't doing their job. then there are other issues, like economic issues that are so severe. right now it seems like the revolution is being carried out. it's not being carried out by nicolas maduro and his supporters, but the students and other folks that are claiming basic rights to do with economic rights, having to do with doing away with crime and bringing back stability to the every day lives of venezuela. >> in the meantime the alliance strengthens, and we here a rhetoric sounding like it comes out of fidel castro's playbook. how comfortable can we be that they are taking an anti-american position. >> you have a venezuelan that has not had problems with keeping its commitments to the united states with regards t
