mrs. carter and a special place for point. so there's a look at some of their early life in plains, georgia. i'm going to let regina crump on twitter ask the question, how did rosalynn and jimmy meet? well, as as the park ranger steve pearce said, they probably saw each other from a distance because rosalynn was a friend of ruth, his sister. but they seemed not to pay much attention to her. but as they got older and it became known he was going to go into the navy and travel around the world, i think she started to focus on him. and then the first date they had, which was probably when she was about 17 and he was about 20, he went home and told his mother that he was going to marry rosalynn after the first date. it took him a while to convince her to marry him because she felt she was too young, even though she was quite smitten with him. so they up until this event happened, apparently they hadn't run into each other. they were three years apart, which may be the reason she married him at 19. yes. so she was a young bride. was she ever able to finish college? she has, i think, associate degree from georgia southwestern.
