mr. duncan. upping mr. duncan: i thank you for talking about america living within its means. we are $14.3 trillion in debt. and the legislation we passed this evening, it's no residing over in the senate, includes what i think is the most important language within that legislation and that is a vote on a balanced budget amendment. i'm a small brings owner for 16 years and when i did my budget i had to think what my revenues were going to be for the coming yoor and had to set a budget based on that. i couldn't hope there was ag money tree and i continue spending money that i didn't have. the americans have been engaged in this process of the debt ceiling debate and we are urging them to get involved in this process of a balanced budget amendment. once that requirement and that amendment does pass both the house of representatives and the nunes senate, it will be sent to the states to be ratified. at that point in time, americans will be able to rally their state legislatures, their general assem bliss to take up and ratify their important amendment to the united states constit

mr. duncan who's waited patiently. >> these committee hearings allow a great exchange of ideas and i appreciate the gentleman from louisiana's comments, but i was sitting here thinking that in july for the end and my church saying patriotic hymns of america we talk about american greatness and the freedom of religion and the separation of that and government and our founding fathers, the creation of this land, and that is what i would hope, a sister richmond, that of the mosques would begin to talk about is the freedom of religion that they got to worship in america in a mosque where it was found on christian principles and the islamic religion can practice in this country freely. and so i want to encourage the mosque and the communities to talk about american greatness and the religious freedom that we got and the first amendment and the constitution and supporting law enforcement that's out there supporting our liberties, supporting the military that's fighting for the liberties even in that part of the world where there is a dominant islam religion. but as i sit through these hearings there'
