i have known mr eastwood for a number of years as well. know him to be a genuine and honest individual. he is also a member of the mission. and i support his project. >> president hillis: thank you. next speaker, please. >> commissioners, a couple of concerns here. one is that we are rewarding speculation on a site where an omi eviction occurred in 2012. and that this property was purchased i was on file with the rent board and the property was purchased knowing that that eviction oak urge there. and allowing a perfectly habitable building to come down. and then the second concern really is that the offering of the doubt fund. the price of the unit itself may actually be a situation where even if the funds were offered, no one can actually qualify for those funds. a lot of funds go to 120% a.m.i. with some exceptions for first responders for teachers. with even with the price point of $900,000 for that unit, a lot of those people aren't going to qualify for a loan. what happens to that unit? is it something that would go out there and the

mr. eastwood said we're insisting on a single-family model. we're not. i've lived in san francisco for 21 years, and i certainly understand what the commission's goals are and the options for affordable housing options for families. our home, family of five, we have 1800 square feet. my son is pretty large, but we manage to live well there with five of us. this is 3600 square feet, the three story that we're in support of, two units, that's real options for families. in terms of the impact on our property, i would like to talk about that shadow analysis report that we were just discussing because i do think the fourth story proposal has such a detrimental impact on our privacy and our access to light. we really tried to focus on those objective things and not talk about what should or shouldn't be on this lot, but what is the real impact on our property? and so just to show a few pieces from that study -- if i can have the overhead. here, you see a 3-ddepiction. this is my home. this is the 3-d rendering of the fourth story proposal that we are not in su

[scattered laughter] so there's no--the chaiair had o be removed and he was a little shaken by that. also, if you've ever been in one of these shows, it's a collective hysteria. i mean, it has a logic to it, but there's all these people running around and these lights and cameras. it's--and we're all covered with pounds of makeup and it's very--it's a stressful--i mean, he's used to it, but it's a stressful situation. but i was pleased. i thought that t really went pretty well and that we got a lot of feedback from it. i keep getting, like you, people who have seen it and talked about it, so that's very impressive to me. and i feel grateful that i had an opportunity to talk. mondragon understood this problem long ago. when you're as big as they are, they developed a number of specialized enterprises. for example, they have their own bank and so they handle all their banking, and that bank actually lends outside to non-mondragon entities as well. and they also set up retirement homes,
