several things that struck me about mrs. ford'sestimony that basically gave a little bit of, to me, that her story was not quite right. one was in the case of the polygraph. asked herl basically a question about the polygraph, she stated, how did you arrive to come to the polygraph? oh, i flew there from my home in ,alifornia to go to rehobeth and i was on my way to new hampshire and i was there to attend the funeral of my grandmother that day, or the next day. gaveeaction that rachel when she stated that that polygraph was actually given on that day, her mouth dropped open and her eyes got wide. i have actually been a contractor and has gone through polygraphs for my job. , whenhonestly tell you you go to these things, you trauma ofe no prior anything in your life. when you go to that. because the results of the polygraph are severely affected and not accurately recorded. and that goes back to the statement that was actually made , that when miss ford made her statement, she stated that i was there. supposed to be for a few hours,

all four under penalty of felony, including professor ford's long time friend leland kaiser. simply put, miss kaiser does not know mr. kavanaugh, does not have any recollection of being at a party or gathering where he was present with or without dr. ford. now, the fbi, performing a criminal investigation, they told us they will reach no conclusion in this. no charges will be filed. no recommendations will be made. that is the process. the fbi will simply interview the same witnesses like the sate judiciary committee interviewed. look into the same claims. write a report. the only possibility in this case is that one of the four people would reverse himself or herself. and if they did, they would be admitting they committed a felony. many times judge kavanaugh, he's happy to comply. he leased statement. it reads, quote, throughout this process i have been interviewed by the fbi. i have done a number of background calls directly with the senate. yesterday i answered questions under oath about every topic the senators and their counsel asked me. i have done everything they have requested and will continue to cooperate

we just heard jim report on mrs. ford receiving death threats. we want to report the kavanaugh family has also received death threats. this has certainly turned ugly. what is the hesitation on capitol hill to order an investigation into professor ford's accusation? why not check all the boxes? >> i think this is political first and foremost. they are conscious the clock is ticking before the mid-terms. they're conscious there could be a shift in the numbers. if that were to happen all of a sudden we're in a whole new ball game. they want to move forward as quickly as possible. erase any doubt and the way to do that is to push forward bespite the costs. >> well, her lawyers want a fair hearing. in your opinion, how would that look? >> at the very least, let's try to take this out of the public eye as much as possible. there needs to be a gathering of evidence. in my entire life on the justice department i would never, ever put someone on the stand without doing an investigation. it's not fair to them, the people who come forward and not fair to th
