mr. garcia. >> thank you for testifying today. i wanted to talk about the uaps in terms of the pilot reactions. i think one of the concerns for members of this committee is this idea that there is no actual system. and the stigma around pilots. you are working with 30 pilots that have had encounters with uaps , but you also know of many more pilots. these are just those you are currently working with. >> i will break that down in two ways. first, when we were first experiencing these objects in the 2014-15 time period, anyone who an upgraded their radar systems were seeing these objects. they were detecting these objects off the eastern seaboard and further correlating that information. and many of them also had their eye sightings as well. that was our first hand experience at the time but since then, as i have engaged this topic, on the military aviation side, veterans have shared their stories, what they were seeing in 2014-15, all the way to 2019 and beyond. it became a general issue for naval aviators. this was something that
