mr. gilbert. >> mr. gilbert you have openly criticized both parties for gridlock in washington d.c. and putting their own interest above the nation. what would you or your party do differently to bring back the trust to the american people in our political system? >> the first thing that any politician needs to do, whether he's the president or the justice of the peace, is prove to his constituents that he cares about them. he must have their interest at heart and be and not be up to other interest that override theirs. generally, that is where we are in congress. we can look and see two eminent professors from two different universities that did a study comparing votes that were taken in congress two poles of the public's position on those same issues over a couple of decades. they title that article that congress doesn't give a damn what you think, and they don't. it has been proven over and over that the folks that give millions of dollars to political candidates get the favors. those who are in the republican and democratic party are wed to those parties through those kind of do

mr. gilbert he. to have any more public speakers on public comment of the agenda? mr. warfield. >>thank you i'm peter warfield executive director of library association like i said were independent of any library or library owner. i would like to comment on the proposed changes of 19 polk north including one on the south which is right in front of the library entrance of city hall. the language is too small. it is enormously inconvenient but now all the sudden instead of having a entrance stop with seven or 800 under the entrance there is no way to cross a street you've got people carrying heavy books and to your calculation people having to work 2 1/2 blocks and my calculation crossing to streets. after mr. reisken's report, i am [inaudible] as well as the engineer's report and i have asked what including how many people would be killed and injured because you are forcing themto walk extra distances and be exposed as a pedestrian to all kinds of traffic problems. they thought i was joking. i'm not joking. i am serious. people will be killed and people certainly will be injured.
