mr. durbin: thank you. i'm joining with the center for american progress this evening to host the screening of "spare parts" a movie that tells the story of four students at carl hayden high school in phoenix arizona. these students were undocumented immigrants brought to the u.s. as kids. they started a robotics team at the high school. they had grave success. the movie was produced by actor and comedian george lopez. he stars in it as the coach of the team. jamie lee curtis, the high school principal. marries is -- marissa torme is in it. i'm excited about seeing the movie because i've known one of the students. he was brought to phoenix by a his parents as a kid spent his high school years in junior rotc and at the end of his junior year a recruiting officer told him he could never serve in the military because he was undocumented. oscar started a robotics club at a high school in phoenix. he and classmates entered a college level competition. nasa sponsored that competition. they worked in a storage room in their high school to produce their competitive robot. they were competing against students from m.i.t. and similar universities. the carl hayden high school t
