mr. perry, as you may remember a very successful business oriented governor of texas who ended his term under an indictment that he maintains is politically motivated. to sue herrera for some breaking news. >> reporter: from the imf the international monetary fund. the imf saying greek authorities have informed the fund that they plan to bundle greece's four june payments in to one. that's now due on june 30th. so greece wants to bundle its four june payments in to one. that payment now would be due on june 30th according to the imf. we'll see whether or not there's more news under that. but there was an executive board decision that took place in the 1970s that allowed country nobs ask to bundle together multiple principle payments falling due in one calendar month. they couldn't take a june payment and july payment and bundle it. only bundle those payments due in a particular month and that's june. >> there was a payment that was supposed to be due tomorrow. the market not liking this apparently, as stocks move a little bit lower on the news you just reported. >> right. absolutely. >> thanks. we're gearing up for a big opec meeting in vienna. here are three key

mr. speaker, i urge my colleagues to support the newhouse-herrera beutler amendment and the underlying bill and yield back my time and urge the amendment's adoption. the chair: the gentleman from washington yields back the balance of his time. does any member wish to seek time in opposition to the amendment? the gentleman from new jersey is recognized for five minutes. ploin pallone thank you, mr. chairman. -- mr. pallone: thank you, mr. chairman. the newhouse amendment seeks to legislatively adjust the e.p.a.'s clean power plan but the amendment does nothing to fix the problems in the rest of the bill which is actually designed to cripple the e.p.a.'s ability to curve emission fathers power plants and allows governors to thumb their noses at the clean air act. the newhouse amendment would make more sense it would make more sense if it were a comment submitted to the e.p.a. under the rule rather than gutting it together. the e.p.a. is considering this already. it would have allowed new and incremental hydropower plants for compliance with the rule, however it did not include other plants. t

mr. chairman. i also want to thank chairman culberson and chairman rogers for working together with representatives pass screll represent -- pascrell, representative dent and herrera beutler in coming to this agreement. and validating this amendment. so i rise today to offer this critical amendment with my colleagues that i just mentioned. and this amendment increases the edward burn memorial justice assistance program by $100 million and decreases the census bureau by an equal amount. last year the cops office program received bipartisan support and was funded at $180 million in the omnibus. unfortunately underlying legislation completely eliminates the cops hiring program. while we cannot restore cops hiring programs and add them back into the bill, we can help ease the burden and mitigate the impact of the programs on the nation, on local law enforcement, by passing this bipartisan amendment. to continue to meet the needs of the police departments across the country, this additional $100 million should specifically be used for grants to police departments for hiring. ensuring the safety of our communities and neighborhoods should be one of our first priorities
