mr. hoffa, good to are you with us. head that i have spoken with on this program about the xl keystone pipeline. your thoughts. where do the teamsters stand on this proposed pipeline, and where are union workers in this country on this issue? >> well, we're entirely behind the keystone project. it's basically part of our infrastructure. it's going to put thousands of people to work, not only teamsters, but all of working people. you saw some of the pictures that we had on the show where we have, you know, literally hundreds of people in one segment working on this pipeline. this is something america needs right now. it puts people to work. we're talking about where are the good jobs in america. well, this is one of them, and it's one where we can get going again and basically help our country and basically get us going again with regard to our infrastructure. >> mr. hoffa, do you believe the environmental impact studies that this would be somewhat of a wash? and do you think they have been credible to this point? becaus

mr. hoffa good to see you. take you for being with us. consumers like free trade because it brings down the cost of our goods. how do we protect the rights of workers -- you know, we don't want to support higher wages for them, because we like the fact that goods are less expensive to us. >> i don't agree with that. i think people in america want to work, and the good jobs have left america. and that's because of nafta, cafta, the china trade agreement. i can give you name after name, 25 names of corporations that have just cold-heartedly closed down, moved their material to mexico and laid people off. and what we have to do is to try to turn that around and bring good jobs back here. and the way to do that is to stop these crazy trade agreements -- >> but don't those corporations get rewarded both by their shareholders and for the money? >> and they don't have a conscious. it's a huge problem. what happened to the middle class? now the question is what do we do about that? number one let's elect politicians that are going to reward main
