i receive regular updates from mr. huber will receive his recommendation as to whether me matters not currently under investigation should be opened, require further resources or whether they merit the appointment of a special counsel. what's so interesting is this guy, mr. huber, he's been on the job since november and there's been really no leaks. and the only time anyone really found out about this was the let tore congress. your thoughts on that. >> that's right. and i think that further shows that he has been operating in a man esh that everybody has not had a problem with until now. suddenly republicans and democrats are critical of the move by attorney general. but if you go back to november, there hasn't been a single leak to a reporter about this investigation. there have intn more leaking that have come out of the mueller investigation, which is a special counsel probe. i think in many ways this was the right decision. ultimately it will be interesting to see what the president thinks of this. remember his attorney

there have been two appointments made at the department of justice by the current attorney general, mr. huber and mr. laus. he has been named to get the documents that we are entitle the to receive and mr. huber is overseeing this whole russia investigation and while these individuals appear to be fine individuals, again, it is not the same. who do they answer to? they answer to rod rosenstein, who is involved in all the clinton investigation and russia investigation. how do employees investigate their boss? tell me how that works? two final points before i yield back to the gentleman from new york. you think about probably the classic definition of the swamp, think about this, rod rosenstein writes the memo for firing james comey. james comey leaks a government document to the "new york times" to create momentum for a special counsel, bob mueller, who rod rosenstein appoints as a special counsel and one of the elements they are looking at is the obstruction of justice. you talk about the biggest round-about i have ever seen. we need a special counsel. the attorney general has said only -- th
