john: mr. airman we were talking earlier about the white house correspondents dinner being here tomorrow. there are a lot of republican presidential candidates that will not be here because they are down in florida. people are seeing sheldon adelson out in las vegas the faith and freedom conference. a lot of them are out in other places. can you talk about the importance of those events which of those strike you as being particularly consequential? reince: i think most of them are consequential. most of them were out at the republican jewish coalition meeting last year. i was there last night at our jc in las vegas. i took the redeye back last night so i could be here for you guys today. obviously jeb and his team have to get their donors together and have a confab down there. it's pretty common that campaigns do that. i think the iowa event is very important and being the first in the country caucus and having all those potential delegates in the room are important to all the candidates. you kn

. >> mr. johns, thank you very much. jason downs is the family attorney for freddie gray.next guest, joining us is democratic congressman chris van hollen of maryland. he joins me from capitol hill. he is currently in the process for running for barbara mikulski's seat. what is your reaction from policy standpoint, what's happening here in baltimore. >> thomas first and foremost our hearts and prayers have gone out to the people of baltimore during this very difficult time. i've been in touch to let them know we stand with them in the quest for justice and in the quest for peace and stand by and ready to provide any help and assistance that we can at this time and then as you've indicated we also need to use this as a moment. once we get to the bottom of what happened in a transparent way and hold people accountable, we need to have a conversation and we need to have action to begin to address the underlying issues here that led to the tragedy in baltimore city but also tragedies we've seen elsewhere around the country. >> this is a coast to coast issue and this morning in

mr. hughes: john koskinen oversees the collection mr. hughes of $3 trillion every year. he has been on the job for about 15 months. how has it gone so far? during the first half of his tenure, he testified frequently on capitol hill. questions revolved around allegations of the irs targeted conservative groups to deny them tax-exempt status. when he wasn't testifying, he was wrestling with budget cuts imposed by congress. the irs audited 0.57% of businesses in 2014. that was the lowest rate since 2005. money being used to enforce an -- and implement the affordable care act has attributed to reduced staff on the telephone helpdesk. at one point, koskinen said agency belt-tightening might result in a miserable 2015 filing season. koskinen is no stranger to challenges. he was the acting ceo of freddie mac. his very career has included stints as deputy director of the offices in management and budget and city -- for washington d.c., overseer of the federal government's y2k efforts, and president of the u.s. soccer foundation. no amount of irs trouble is going to put koskinen

let's get to "inside politics" with mr. john day. what's up john?gin with the iran negotiations with me to share reporting and insights julia pace of the "associated press," peter hanby of cnn. give us a sense, do they think you just heard the iranian member of the iranian delegation saying no deal today. the president agreed to let secretary kerry and the rest of the team stay for an extra day. trying to get a framework. no one expect as final deal. they're trying to get a framework, a political document that says this is what will in the final deal. >> the white house is in a tricky spot with the negotiations in switzerland and the political fallout back here in washington. people continue to say that this is a 50/50 prospect at best. the big question now is they are making small incremental progress on some of the toughest issues. but does another day, another two days another week actually get you to the decisions that have eluded these negotiators for 18 months now? the longer that this drags on and what we're hearing is that if anything that w

what the supreme leader said and john kerry said is different. mr.arif: what i can say is what we have agreed upon. charlie: doesn't agree with what secretary kerry said? mr. jarif: i allow him to say what he wants to say and defined the agreement. what i say is what will be at the agreement if there is one at the end of the day. it must be based on this logic. very clear. you cannot have two bank opposing tracks running at the same time. charlie: what are the opposing tracks? mr. jarif: one is to have an agreement and the other is to impose pressure. the counterpart to pressure would be iran building more centrifuges. charlie: someone suggested to me today, if the agreement is signed, there will be some date in the future at which time the two bank parties will have had an opportunity to see how they handle this. at that time, perhaps they could get to that and examine inspections and see if they were as everybody hoped they would be, that the aie i had the opportunity to do the things they insist they be able to do. he would have the opportunity to

mr. president -- -- >> reporter: john hinkley was 25 when he fired six shots at president ronald reagan. an assassination attempt that seriously wounded his press secretary john brady and two law enforcement officers protecting the president. now 59 years old hinkley spends almost half the year in williamsburg, virginia, under the care of his mother joann who is almost 90. these supervised visit began with three-day stays in 2006 and have grown gradually by court order to now total 17 days at a time. hinkley's doctor is at st. elizabeth's hospital say he has mellowed with age. in court filings hi medical team says his mood has remained uplifted and his mental status stable while on these outings and they say he is fit to leave. a federal judge is weighing that question. so are community leaders in williamsburg. >> any time you know you have someone in your community that's committed the types of crimes that mr. hinkley's committed, it's a concern. >> sandra worked with hinkley when he volunteered at a local hospital. >> john's a very sweet and considerate person. >> reporter: reporter de
