and mrs. jones you need to get off your duffs, get back to work, ann more money, more revenue in order to pay their debts? >> absolutely. in fact, that's what a business has to do. i introduced a bill, hr 2409, that would actually reduce the debt ceiling down to $13 trillion by october the 1st of this year. and the point of that is just to start focusing on we've got to pay down the debt. in fact, if a business gets overextended as the federal government already is, then what do they do? first thing they do is they lower their borrowing limit, then they start finding ways of paying off the debt. then the next thing that they do is look at the expenditures that they're going -- that they have and start cutting their expenses, which means cut all the outflow of their funds, and then they start looking at how to bring funds in. now, here in washington, the democrats say we need to bring if funds by increasing taxes, but that's actually a tax on jobs and would tax away jobs. we just need more taxpayers
