mr. chairperson. my name is joyce calegas and i'm representing senior disability action and a member of the san francisco organizing project and i'm also currently active with the san francisco inter-faith council and the california a alliance for retired americans and i see some of my people here from the senior disability action. i know i told people before from sda that we were first working with the youth to get their free pass and i told them -- they had free lunches i think but and you can get there by bus but some people might not have money to get on the 54 bus but thankfully we had the youth pass it's free for a whole bunch of young people and now it's the turn foreseen i for, seniors and i meant to go online i know when i went down for a funeral for one of my relatives, i believe long beach had free public transportation and for myself being a senior i'm thinking this year starting july 1st all my utilities went up and i'm thinking of that $23 to be able to pay for the increase and everything else so please

mrs. just two years ago. >> his mother is working to make a difference as she continues to dole with her loss and fox 29's jennifer joyce joins us now from northern liberties and jenny, you just talked with ryan's mom. >> reporter: that's right, lucy. they're actually standing right next to me here. viola family gives back to other families. they're here at the gift of life family house donating their time to others making dinner and giving back to the 30 families staying here as their loved ones are awaiting a transplant or here for follow up care. tonight, they say giving back makes them feel better two years after losing 17 year old ryan. ryan viola's life was cut short on november 29, 2012. he was just 17 years old. walking to the bus stop when he got hit and killed by a car along bensalem boulevard. now, two years later, and about a mile down the boulevard, another teen mow net on her way to school was hit and killed. ryan's mom alice says she's fighting for change trying to get the bus stop moved away from the busy boulevard. tonight, this is her message to the girl's family dealing with the fresh and painful loss
