the rules committee did deal with the bill here, but, mr. kline were there any hearings in the education committee? >> not, not on the senate bill, no. >> not on the senate bill that is the bail that passed. that is the bill that passed. mr. king, would you like to add anything to that? >> we didn't have jurisdiction, so there were no hearings in the jewish dish recommittee. we would have liked to have had jurisdiction to have been approved in final policy. >> well, mr. chairman, i just want to say to back up what you and chairman dreier have said, republicans are very concerned that we have affordable health insurance and affordable health care in this country. what passed in this congress does not provide that to the american people. in fact, what it does is give government control over insurance and health care for the american people. that is not what this republic is about. we are not to give our lives to the government. we don't live in a nanny state. and this repeal needs to be done so that we can get on with putting in common sense reforms
