mr. mainardi about it. when you look at our enforcement process, when a complaint comes in, the steps that take place make the procedure a procedure that goes for at least two, three months. and when you have an election campaign and there is an alleged complaint of a violation there isn't usually time for the commission to act to try to correct either the misinformation that may be out there, because a complainant may have put in material and ross of what their complaint is and because we haven't gotten to the process quickly enough, i wonder whether we ought not to take a look at whether there is some way in which we could set up a mechanism that for complaints that relate to alleged violations within say the 60-days before the elections, that we have some special procedure to be able to deal with them? either to correct the misperception or if, in fact, there is egregious violation, that the public knows about it before it makes its vote. i don't know -- the city attorney will have to weigh-in on it, but
