mr. general manager, i want to thank the recreation and park commission for allowing me to speak and thankmunity members who took time out of their busy schedules to be here today. i am here to speak about the issue that the general manager just discussed, and i want to say that watching the youth in that video was for me quite a learning experience. i actually think that the adults who live in the city have a lot to learn from those young people. the way that they carried themselves, and the way they got to the very core of the issue by suggesting, you know, why don't we just play together? i think that is what we have a responsibility to do. how do we find it so that open space and recreational space is available to everyone? let me say that i appreciate the efforts of the rec and park department and i'm grateful to the general manager and his staff for the fact that they met with these young people and that there are changes instituted that the playground. this playground is not in my district, but the vast majority of people who use this playground are from my district. i also believe
