mr. paulsen: i'm co-sponsoring the trafficking survivors relief act which is the next step to help. these victims are oftentimes our most vulnerable and taken advantage from those with no regard of their well-being. the trafficking survivors relief act will allow victims to petition courts to have their criminal records cleared of nonviolent offenses committed as a direct result of being trapped in human trafficking. it's a very important step, mr. speaker, to help these individuals get the opportunity to return to living fulfilling lives on their own terms and get the fresh start that they deserve. no man, woman, child, girl or boy, mr. speaker, should be ever subjected to sex trafficking. we must remain vigilant in our fight against this crime and ensure that the victims receive the support and resources they need because together we can stop human trafficking and i yield back. the speaker pro tempore: the gentleman yields back. for what purpose does the gentleman from california seek recognition? without objection, the gentleman is recognized for one inute. >> mr. speaker, i rise
