mr. reichert said in the hearing, he wants to take a chain saw to this. >> you've anticipated my next questionngressman. >> okay. >> because as you're saying, things didn't seem to get much better. the hearing moved on from drunk karaoke to the texas chain saw massacre with, as you said, david reichert of washington saying we should take a chain saw to the act. now, can you please explain how making sure that insurance companies cannot deny coverage, because of preexisting conditions, how insuring that all americans can have health insurance. how is that such an horrendous thing? >> well, i think that's the problem they have been tripping over all along. they know there are wonderful things in this bill. and yet they can't bring themselves to embrace it at all. in fact, what i said today, to the witness was that to understand that they're not here to see you or this law succeed. understand that. the questions they're asking you about the rollout, or about how poorly it was done, they could care less. they don't care how poorly it was done, because they just want to exploit the issue. you know,

mr. reichert would say, a chainsaw. the contrast between what we did a number of years ago with medicare part a and what republicans have done -- i went back and looked at a newsroom -- a newsletter saying, i voted against it, but i will try to make it work. what republicans are trying to do is to clearly make sure it doesn't work. chainsaw, i think i can't carry it around, but if i could, i'd maybe have a small chainsaw that all carry around my pocket is how theis republicans have approached health care reform. in terms of the so-called cancellations, i think it was bywered very effectively blue cross blue shield. they said they sent out several hundred thousands of notices, and what they are trying to do is help you transition to a new so they can go to the exchanges, they can talk to blue cross blue shield. every year, there are good numbers of people who have their policies canceled or policies changed. several hundred thousand, many aren't effective january 1. the insurance carriers have a chance -- had a chance to

mr. chairman reichert, who was calling sheriff as well, and members of the subcommittee. thank you for inviting my testimony today. it's an honor to participate in the discussion in the ways we can prevent effectively intervene, and ultimately eradicate the commercial sexual exploitation of children in the community especially those in the foster care system. i'm bobby bridge. the center informally known as ccyj is a non-profit established in 2006 to advance justice for and enhance of live of children and youth in the juvenile justice and child welfare system through juvenile jus u.s. is, child welfare, and related systems improvement. as chairman reichert noted prior to founding ccyj i was a trial judge for ten years. during which time i presided over hundreds of child abuse and neglect. with it i had known the right question to ask. during the eight years of service of the associate justice of the washington state supreme court. i reviewed the same cases and became involved in system change effort in child welfare. i learned valuable lessons. no one part of this system,
