ross mirkarimi is being investigated for an allegation of domestic violence. ama daetz reports. >> reporter: this is photo showed shows what appears to be a loving couple. but a police investigation into mr. mirkarimi suggests otherwise it's now in the hands of the district attorney. >>> we will evaluate the case as we would do with any other case. >> reporter: the domestic violence accusation comes from one of neighbors. she didn't answer the door. a neighbor called police saying she spoke to ross mirkarimi's wife and asked her to videotape a bruise on her arm. she had a text message conversation with the victim about the incident, her injuries how the injuries were caused and who caused the injuries. but a spokesman for mirkarimi's wife quotes her as saying what is happening here is wrong. i have absolutely no complaint about against my husband. my husband has never been abusive to me. we are committed to our marriage our son and family. >> probably the most frequent problem in domestic violence situations is that the victim doesn't want to testify. >> reporter: dean johnson says these cases can be won without the victim's testimony. >> i have seen cases filed and tried to jury verdict
