pollster andy smith, what do you make of all the attention that mr. rubio is getting? thought of as one of the leading con tenners for the vice presidential slot for quite some time now. he has been quite popular among conservative republican; particularly, tea party republicans. he is very attractive that he is a young dynamic hispanic candidate. there is a lot of republicans in particular who see running the hispanic candidate as a way they can really cut in to president obama's margin in some of the swing states that have high percentages of hispanic voters. it's not surprising -- >> are they going -- i want to know, are they going after him? or are they basically dong due diligence on a likely possible vice presidential candidate? >> well, i think the latter is probably the case. although, the republicans; particularly, the republican activists know who he is. most people in the country have little or no idea who marco rubio is. he's not on the national stage per se. he has only been in the senate for a couple of years. so they are going to go after him to find out
