like mr wilson facing this so-called ultimate punishment so really we have the same question at amnesty international that you do who is this who is this serving what purpose does it serve to execute a person like this the death penalty really is failed public policy in the united states it does not keep us safer it is a black eye on our national reputation when it comes to human rights we are becoming more and more isolated in the number of people that we continue to execute . and in this kind of case really kind of puts a highlight on just how shameful the united states looks in the world community for continuing this outmoded and completely useless practice that we have fairly decent company in the world with china saudi arabia iran iraq and the united states there that's right seems like one of those. countries i just name seems out of place but when it comes to the death penalty it's not all right but the good news is that the death penalty is ending in the united states i think it's it's a well kept secret. but we have seen five states in the last five years in their death penalty

mr. wilson. came to my office with his son who had been encouraging his father to seek out the people that he had abused and attacked during the 1960's. he came and said mr. lewis, i'm one of the people that attacked you, that beat you. i want to apologize. will you accept my apology? will you forgive me? he started crying. his son started crying. i started crying. he hugged me. i gave him a hug. he called me brother. i called him brother, and since then i've seen this gentleman four more times. that was moving to a reconciliation. and even today when i go back to places in alabama or other parts of the south, young people and people not so young, some older people, white people of the south come up and say mr. lewis, congressman lewis, i want to apologize to you on behalf of all of the white people of alabama and of south for what we did. >> mr. wilson and you were in confrontation physically where he assaulted you where? >> mr. wilson beat me, knocked me down, left me bloody at the greyhound bu

mr. wilson about it offline. >> i know that staff has been exploring different opportunities for renovating lincoln park golf course. what i would like to ask is what are we looking at putting that item before us in terms of changing the month-to-month lease to a more permanent lease? a more long term lease? along those lines, what are we doing in terms of addressing some of the renovations that have to occur there as regards to the irrigation of that course? i would like to know when we can expect to be dealing more addressing some of the issues related to that of course. >> we have tried to approach our golf course issues some was sequentially and we're still in the process of working through an expired lease at golden gate park. once that is resolved, in all likelihood, it would be the work plan for this coming fiscal year. i cannot tell you when we're going to move forward. i think it depends on other property management issues that we will be dealing with in the coming year, so i will keep you up-to-date. >> our projections up to this point -- >> between july -- that would be the time
