mr. davis is recognized. >> thank you, mr. chairman. when we talk about international business and its reach and impact domestically, i'm harkened back to being deployed in the middle east in the 82nd airborne division, taking a walk under the desert in the moonlight, a wrapper blew up to my feet and it was an arabic labeled pampers pack edge and i began to understand the reach of our economy. g.e. has 1,230 employees who live across the river in our district and creates $130 million in wages. and your company purchased $160 million in goods from 260 suppliers in our region in kentucky. those are real numbers, those are real jobs that impact a lot of lives and a much broader supply chain that are multiplied in our community. at a time the country is struggling to regain its footing, we looked at job creators, small businesses, but also very much so large businesses like p and g as a means to put americans back to work. companies want to manufacture in the united states but are faced with a tax structure that encourages them to do elsewh

have access and the community health centers were in awe when we heard the eloquent testimony from mr. davis who pointed to the fact that some of them either were employees of health centers or in some measure that on a and perhaps others of you and some of us come from a district that might represent the is urban and rural, and i suffer with my friends to believe that this kind of program will not continue. now i didn't know if you repeal this you take away medical students and primary care providers, loan payments so that they can work in some of those underserved communities and blades for example and certain other areas. and the impact of eight would eliminate $11 billion in health centers over the next five years and would eliminate $1.5 billion in spending for national service. whenever we ultimately get it all together we are going to need more doctors, we are going to need for the nurses, more home health care people and it just doesn't make sense to me, and nobody here today has made it makes sense to me that under the law as it prez a presently exists, all of us in this room as tax
