. >> reporter: here in mrs. denee mcdonald's school students are busy working on a business plan. they are creating pitches and writing business plans. it's part of the network for teaching entre prefourship or nfte. >> they think of employment. our students test better. they also have better a i tend dance rates and they graduate and go on to college. >> reporter: jay a -- jayla sawn ders immediately went after the program eye -- >> i enjoy doing it. >> reporter: alexis alt loves to baifnlgt she wants to become a pastry chef so it wasn't too hard for her to decide on a business program. >> give people good experience and selling what they want to sell. >> the nfte is celebrating 10 years. it has reached over 10,000 students. seven businesses in the area have become part of the adopt a class program, raising $100,000 for entrepreneurship education. >> it benefits them. it lets them know you don't have to be someone who is 21 or college educated to have a business. they have learned there are many students in their teens who have started businesses, who are financially successful.
