mr. huntsman announced his candidacy, he was a solid 1%. the same poll this month, he's still at 1%. even days ago, the huntsman campaign decided it was time to do things differently, reallocate resources, shifts staff members from the huntsman campaign hours in florida to instead huntsman campaign headquarters in new hampshire. the campaign calling the shift in strategy critical in ourests in new hampshire and across the country. for jon huntsman, winning the nomination now means winning in new hampshire. that is necessary but not sufficient. it really is necessary. presumably the campaign has some reason to believe he has the potential to do well in new hampshire or they wouldn't be talking about its importance. when you look at how huntsman is doing in got to win new hampshire to win everywhere, see his 4% in the wmur poll in may, there's one important thing about that 4%. that was before jon huntsman launched his campaign. by july, once he was in the race, he was down to 2%. so here is an open question. why is jon huntsman still in this race? maybe there are some internal polls th

mr. huntsman lamenting the affect of pride that comes with self sufficiency. which is both true and a little hard to take from the man that's heir to the mcdonald's big mac styrofoam container invention. sometimes it's hard to tell with corporations are people, how far away are we from the chamber of commerce running for president, but they did just release their own jobs plan. the jobs plan, of course, calling for more tax cuts, naturally, also more oil drilling, naturally. but also the chamber of commerce called for increased spending on infrastructure. for all the gridlock on the issue of the economy, could that actually be a way forward? last week when barack obama talked up the idea of infrastructure at the white house, he spoke with a representative of the chamber of commerce and the head of the aflcio. the part he said was a preview of what he's going to offer on thursday, he shouted out infrastructure specifically, and listen to how he did it. >> on thursday, we're going to lay out a new way forward on jobs to grow the economy and put more americans ba

mr. huntsman did get the required 2%. and in the new fox news poll released just last night, he spiked and saved his average. he was up to 4% in the fox poll which means it is possible to come up with two polls that put huntsman above the 2% cutoff. that is not exactly crack open the champagne news for the jon huntsman for president campaign. but it's not turn out the lights news for that campaign either. next up, in the 2008 presidential election, the first nominating contest was held in iowa on january 3rd right after the new year, which means we spent a full 11 months voting in order to pick a new president in '08. as weird as that was, that is the new normal. true or false, the astonishingly early start to the primary calendar in 2008 is about to happen again for 2012? is that true or is that false? true. looks like it at least. florida poised to move its presidential primary to the last day of january. the speaker of the florida statehouse saying he expects january 31st to be the date. if that happens, south carolina
