mr. blankfein. lloyd blankfein, head of goldman sachs on with andrew ross sorkin.i've been saying for a few weeks. austerity will cause economic headwinds. higher taxes are a medicine we can't turn away. i'm not in favor of higher taxes, but there are a lot of people down here who are arguing this is going to be a serious headwind for the stock market. here we are, by the way, on intraday. don't be too impressed with this downturn. this is a very small amplitude. it's 40 points. it's not statistically significant. we're drifting around right now, trying to figure out what the fiscal cliff is going to do. let me show you, we're getting projections for 2013 coming in. it's bulls and bears here. here's the bearish argument. it's what blankfein essentially was alluding to. although blankfein is bearish. the bears have been arguing american austerity is beginning at this point. higher taxes and less spending is a headwind. it's not a tailwind for stocks in 2013. on top of that, we're going to have slower growth in the u.s., or slow growth, i should say, and a recession

my name is lloyd and being a landlord in san francisco is kind of nice to feel -- i'm in agreement with mr. mecca. i am not a nudist. i lived here for 30 years. i do live in district eight. we have very regressive legislature here proposed by mr. weerner that is more for show than anything else. nude people are not causing a problem. they're only expressing themselves. i have not experienced one act of lewdness there. if that's what you see then it's in your own head. as far as sitting in the seat and spreading your legs, called flaunting. it's actually being comfortable. if you take perspective on the issue, you look at the middle east where women are made to cover up and you look at europe where there are public nude spaces. indeed in parts of germany there are parts that are set aside for nudists. there is a river there and ride down the rubber tubes and at the end they get on the bus to ride down the river again, so this is part of our puritanical moral heritage that causes nudity to be a problem and it's a problem in the people's own mind. i walk down the street all the time and see s

lloyd grove of the "daily beast" summed up the reaction by saying the reviews were so brutal they would close a broadway show on opening night. this was news conference a mistake, mr. keene? >> not at all. and, fortunately, we're not on broadway. this isn't a joke. you know, we remained silent right after newtown because we didn't think it was appropriate to comment at time. but now we've come out and looked at it and the question on everybody's minds we tried address is what do you do to prevent this from happening in the future? you know, it was interesting, bob, because that week i was in israel. and they had a spate of school shootings in the 70s and they decided they needed to have security at their schools. they started out with volunteers. they eventually institutional tides and now they have armed security at the schools and they stopped the problem. in this country-- and although the reaction from our critic was, well, this is a crazy idea. the fact is, 23,000 schools right now, have armed security guards. they have them in chicago. they have them in many schools in virginia. it was propose bided by bill clinton the year after the columbine shooting and t
