mr. graves: recognize ms. napolitano. mrs. napolitano: this wrda enacted he into law and speaks to the members of congress to response to the water resources needs of our communities but to the demand. can you please describe for the subcommittee the scope of the chief's report and post-authorization report that the corps expects to send to congress in the coming months? major general spellmon: you would asked me to briefly describe each of the chief's reports? mrs. napolitano: not each one, but what is the scope of them? what is more important, what is salient in the recent submissions? major general spellmon: as i mentioned, three of the chief's reports deal with navigation. these are deepening of different segments of the project in norfolk, san juan and seattle harbor. we have an ecosystem restoration project in brownsville, texas. and as you know, they go under concurrent review both by the congress and the administration. mrs. napolitano: i'm interested in more detail on one of them but i'll ask for it later. significant

mrs. napolitano. mrs. napolitano: thank you, mr. defazio. mr. speaker, i rise in strong support of s. 3021, america's water infrastructure act of 2018. i thank chairman shuster, ranking member defazio, chairman graves and our own respective staffs for their work on this legislation. it is encouraging to see the transportation infrastructure committee continue in a bipartisan fashion on this legislation every two years. the bill authorizes army corps of engineers feasibility studies, chief reports and water resource projects across the country for a diverse array of purposes. including flood damage reduction, ecosystem restoration, water supply, navigation and other things. the bill also includes important provisions at both the -- that both the house and the senate have worked on to improve e.p.a. water programs. i am pleased to have co-authored several of these provisions that will assist communities experiencing stormwater challenges and drought with additional water supply and water treatment options. section 401 -- 4106 authorizes $50 millio
