i thought some of my strongest insights into president reagan came from mrs. reagan. she taught me a lot about how to deal with president reagan and help him to be a better communicator and help me be a better person to work with them. i'm sure you will hear that today. jim had the benefit of not only working with the president, but working with mrs. reagan. he had the benefit of foreign travel with the reagans and assisted in negotiating trips to china, japan, korea, france, england, and germany. he was very privileged to be at the very historic bilateral meeting between reagan and gorbachev, the account of which in this book alone is worth the read. i encourage you to read it. i will also observe that jim is very insightful regarding the president's communicating skills. jim is going to have to wait for my book for another view. in this book, there's an excerpt that many of the best speeches of president reagan, an element of research that is very valuable to reagan scholarship. jim was there, working with mrs. reagan, when she did the "just say no" drug campaign. it
